Our Work.

Means Testing

How we can support you

We do not means test in the traditional sense but ask that all of our potential clients consult a law firm for a Legal Aid Check before instructing us. You can find a solicitor local to you that holds a Legal Aid Certificate here: https://solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk

We ask you to check your eligibility  because in some situations Legal Aid may cover more than we are able to help with i.e. representation, letters before action etc. This also allows us to allocate our resources to the people who most need our help. You may be likely to be eligible for Legal Aid if you are on certain benefits, have a low income, or own no property. https://www.gov.uk/check-legal-aid

If you are not able to source legal aid we can offer help with non-molestation orders, occupation orders, and child arrangements orders, but we cannot guarantee representation. We are also able to suggest legal representatives who can act on a direct access basis if you are funding your own case.
